The Leaders for Excellence and Public Service (LEAP) Mayors’ Fellowship Program is a leadership development program for public officials, in partnership with San Miguel Corporation.
The program aims to equip them with the competencies of ethical, empowering, and effective leaders. By building the capacities of leaders, the program hopes that this will translate into a better public service in their local government units.
The program provides leaders from different municipalities and provinces with an opportunity to share their different experiences and expertise on public service. This also provides them an avenue to learn anew about good governance for sustainable development, alleviating poverty incidence, intergenerational environmental programs, and practices.
The program started after the application screening, which was conducted from December 2016 to February 2017. Onย July 14, 22 fellows were given recognition for graduation for their significant participation and completion of the program.
