Kaya Natin! Movement for Good Governance and Ethical Leadership strongly condemns the filing of sedition charges by the Philippine National Police (PNP) against Vice President Leni Robredo.
The filing of this trumped up charges based on clear lies and fake news peddled by Peter Joemel Advincula, alias “Bikoy,” clearly aims to silence the political opposition led by Vice President Robredo. No less than Presidential Spokesperson Salvador Panelo has discredited the statements made by “Bikoy” by stating in his interviews, “You lie in one, you lie in all.”
Each of our leaders and members at KN strongly stands by the integrity and proven track record of good governance delivered to the Filipino people by Vice President Robredo.
We strongly urge the Department of Justice (DOJ), led by Sec. Menardo Guevara is to immediately dismiss these charges. We also urge the PNP and our law enforcement agencies to instead focus their efforts on arresting big-time drug lords and criminals. The DOJ and PNP should not waste their time and resources on harassing the political opposition.
