Kaya Natin! Youth celebrates the decision of the Supreme Court, sitting as the Presidential Electoral Tribunal, to unanimously dismiss the baseless electoral protest filed by former senator Bongbong Marcos against Vice President Leni Robredo.
Since 2016, Marcos has continuously attempted to discredit VP Leni and the will of the people, despite being defeated more than once. This decision was long overdue — it is clearly time for Marcos to move on.
The affirmation of VP Leni’s victory will finally allow her office to focus more on uplifting the lives of Filipinos, especially in this time of crisis. It is our hope that detractors start doing the same.
We call on our fellow young Filipinos to remain vigilant and to persistently exercise our democracy by registering to vote for the upcoming 2022 elections.
